KarTent is an Amsterdam-based startup, founded in 2015 by Jan Portheine and Wout Kommer to solve the problem of waste at festivals. The solution, the KarTent, a 100% cardboard sleeping tent. Other products were born and all made from recycled craft cardboard. KarTent now operates in more than 25 different countries on 4 continents, including the United States, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, and sells more than 10,000 tents per year.
